Tamil Nadu: Two people die as car hits bike

CHENNAI: Two people were killed on Tuesday night after a car rammed their bike on Chennai-Bangalore Highway near Sriperumbudur.
Police said Kumar and Indrasena, both aged 40, from Molachur village near Sunguvarchathiram, were trying to cross the highway on their bike when a car headed from Chennai towards Kancheepuram hit them. In the impact, Indrasena was thrown out of the vehicle.Passersby immediately took them to a hospital, where doctors declared the two dead on arrival.
On information, the Sunguvarchathiram police recovered the bodies and sent them to the Sriperumbudur government hospital for autopsy. Police have detained the car driver for questioning.
