Two oil tankers collide outside Ennore port
Ennore Port in Chennai.
CHENNAI: Two oil tankers collided outside Ennore port on Saturday morning. However, there was no oil spillage or casualty in the accident.
MT Maple bearing Isle of Man flag carrying LPG, which was sailing out of the port, and Indian vessel MT Dawn Kanchipuram collided outside the harbour at around 4am.
The Indian vessel carrying petroleum products was coming into the port when the accident took place.

A statement from Kamarajar Port said that there was no damage to environment like oil pollution, casualty or injury.
"The vessels are safely afloat and anchored. The extent of damage is under assessment."
An enquiry has been ordered. The accident has not affected movement of ships.
An official said that Indian Coast Guard, which has expertise in assessing and arresting oil spill from spreading, was likely to conduct a probe.
