KRISHNAGIRI: Two guest workers were arrested near Hosur in Krishnagiri district in the early hours of Tuesday for possessing five kg of ganja.
The Mathigiri police were on a routine patrol in Kothagondapalli on the
Tamil Nadu - Karnataka border around 2 am on Tuesday. They intercepted a man identified as Pawan Kumar, 20, from
Bihar. "We recovered two kg of ganja from him," said an officer at the Mathigiri police station.
The police arrested Pawan Kumar and seized two kg of ganja. During investigations, Kumar told the police that his friend Ganesh Das,45, from Bihar had ganja packets in his room. The police seized three kg of ganja from Das’s room and arrested him.
The duo were remanded in judicial custody.
