Two electrocuted near Vellore
VELLORE: Two workers were electrocuted while fitting a steel handrail on the terrace of a newly constructed house near Vellore on Friday.
Police said Sagadevan of Melvellam near Kaniyambadi engaged the two workers to fit a steel handrail on the terrace of his newly constructed house. The workers carried the handrail from the ground floor to the terrace. The handrail accidentally touched the power lines outside the building. The two sustained electric shock and died on the spot.
The Vellore taluk police registered a case.
