Boy, 16, electrocuted to death while unplugging phone charger

Chennai: A 16-year-old boy was electrocuted at a wedding hall in Aranvoyal in the Tiruvallur district on Monday night. He suffered an electric shock when he tried to unplug his phone charger.
The boy, Dheena, a Class VI dropout, was assisting a DJ at a birthday function in the wedding hall.
After the event, Dheena unplugged his phone charger when he got electrocuted.
Police rushed Dheena to a govt hospital where he was declared dead. They suspect that rain to have caused an issue with the wiring in the hall. Police are investigating.
