CHENNAI: Police on Friday night nabbed one of the touts — an engineering graduate — who allegedly duped a BE aspirant inside the Anna University campus and vanished with Rs 2.5 lakh in cash. Police teams are now hunting for his accomplice — another engineering graduate — who is believed to be in Andhra Pradesh.
A police team nabbed the tout, Syed Mansuri Khan (25), a native of Rajapalayam near Virudhunagar, from a hideout in the city.

"We got the mobile number from which Rishikanth (the tout who is still absconding) had contacted Dikshit (the BE aspirant). When we traced the calls, we found that most of the calls were made to Khan and we arrested him," a police officer said.
Based on his confessions, police teams are now trying to zero in on Rishikanth. Police recovered Rs 1.5 lakh in cash from Khan.
