Tamil Nadu minister Sengottaiyan skips Anbumani debate
CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu school education minister K A Sengottaiyan did not attend the live public debate organised by PMK leader and MP Anbumani Ramadoss at Muthamizh Mandram in RA Puram on Saturday evening.
Anbumani had recently extended an invitation to the minister to debate on various issues relating to the quality of education in the state, especially NEET.

A source in the minister's office told TOI that he is at The Nilgiris for a meeting.
Anbumani told TOI that he was at the venue at 4 pm, and addressed the gathering for more than an hour. “Neither did the minister nor his officials come. We tried calling the minister's office but there was no response. We had given them adequate information”.

“The intention of today's meeting is to create a new type of constructive politics, of debates and discussion, with a view to upgrade the education sector, in the context of the performance of TN students in NEET and IIT JEE,” he added. He said he has also invited DMK working president MK Stalin for such discussions.
