Tiruppur to house the 1st ‘TIDEL Neo’

Chennai: The knitwear hub of Tiruppur will house the first 'TIDEL Neo' in Tamil Nadu as tenders have been floated for building the facility. ‘TIDEL Neo’ is creating ‘mini’ IT parks with an area of 50,000 to 1 lakh square feet in Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns with an aim to introduce the services sector across the state. TIDEL Park Ltd is a JV company of TIDEL and ELCOT.
The IT park proposed in a built up area of 60,000 square feet will be a ground floor + 7 floors facility at Rakkiyapalayam village in Tirupur, which will be constructed at a financial outlay of Rs 32 crores. Official sources with TIDEL Park Ltd said that Tiruppur, Villupuram, Thoothukudi, Vellore, Thanjavur and Salem will have the ‘mini’ IT parks. Of this, Tiruppur and Villupuram will be the first two towns to have the facility initially, sources added.
