The Backyard
, Chennai, will present ‘On That Note’ a tribute to some of the best female artists the world has ever seen - from
Nina Simone to Adele.
The performers - Nitika, aka Nits is a powerhouse of singer, dancer and part-time teacher, and Tryodon Netto, aka Troy, who plays the guitar, the drums and the keyboard and also beat-boxes. He is also the frontman of ‘Forte’, a rock and metal band.
“I’ve always seen myself as a powerhouse vocalist, and feel that I can relate to these female vocalists. It’s going to be an evening that covers a wide period and genres – Amy Winehouse who does a lot of blues, Nina Simone who does jazz and Adele, who of course, is classic rock,” says Nitika.
The show will be held at Backyard, Adyar, from 7pm to 9pm on November 4.
