Temple hoarding with former porn star Mia Khalifa's photo in Tamil Nadu sparks row

CHENNAI: A controversy erupted after local youth erected a hoarding featuring a photograph of former porn star Mia Khalifa as part of a temple festival at Kuruvimalai in Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu.

Police on Thursday removed the hoarding and were inquiring whether it was a deliberate act or an error committed by those who printed the hoardings. The hoarding was erected as part of the Aadi Perukku festival at the Amman temple in the village.

The hoarding depicted Mia Khalifa carrying a milk pot on her head. There were traditional religious images too. It also featured photos of local youths.
