Tamil Nadu: Two Tirupur youths killed in accident

TIRUPUR: Two youths were killed in an accident after a SUV hit the motorcycle on which they were travelling in Tirupur city on Saturday.


P Santhiraswaran, 19, and S Yogeshwaran, 19, both residents of Sirupooluvapatti in Tirupur city, were travelling on a motorcycle on Saturday evening to fill fuel, said a police officer.

When they were travelling on Sirupooluvapatti-15 Velampalayam road, they tried to overtake another vehicle. A SUV which was coming from the opposite direction hit their vehicle and both the youths were thrown off from the vehicle, said the officer.

They were declared brought dead at Tirupur government hospital. Police registered a case and have launched an investigation.
