CHENNAI: In a major reshuffle of senior IAS officers in the state, the Tamil Nadu government on Sunday transferred health secretary J Radhakrishnan, who has served during the tough pandemic years and has posted him as secretary of cooperation, food and consumer protection department.

, officer on special duty in the health and family welfare department is the new health secretary. More than 40 IAS officers have been transferred and posted.
The government has also appointed commercial taxes commissioner
K Phanindra Reddy
as new home secretary replacing S K Prabakar who has been transferred. He was posted as commissioner of revenue administration.
Among the other senior officers, M A Siddique has been appointed as new managing director of Chennai Metro Rail Limited in place of Pradeep Yadav who has been posted as secretary to highways and minor ports department.
Cooperation and food department secretary Nasimuddin has been transferred and posted as labour department secretary.
Anandkumar, formerly member secretary of Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu, has been transferred as secretary of welfare of differently abled persons.
Darez Ahamed, mission director, National Health Mission has been transferred and posted as commissioner of rural development and panchayat raj. Commissioner of prohibition and excise J Jayakanthan transferred as commissioner of geology and mining.
Collectors of Trichy and Tenkasi, S Sivarasu and S Gopala Sundara Raj have been transferred and posted as joint commissioner of commercial taxes. J Vijaya Rani, formerly Chennai collector has been transferred and posted as director of sericulture, Salem.
G Prakash, commissioner of milk production and dairy development has been transferred and posted as commissioner of archives and historical research.
