Tamil actor Anand Raj's brother ends life

suicide

at his ancestral house in Puducherry after he suffered a huge loss in his business. He committed suicide by consuming a pesticide-laced banana.

Police said Kanagasabhai, who runs a chit fund, had been living alone at his ancestral house after the death of his parents. He was a bachelor. He is one of the seven siblings of Anand Raj.

He was last seen entering his house around 11pm on Wednesday. On noticing that he did not come out of his house until 11am on Thursday, his neighbours alerted his elder sister Prabhavathi. She along with her husband and other relatives reached his house and broke open the door and found him lying near the kitchen. They alerted police.

Police recovered a suicide note. Police were yet to divulge the contents in his suicide note.
