Srirangam byelection: EC launches Citizen Poll Watch mobile app

TRICHY: The Election Commission on Friday launched a mobile app to help people file complaints about violation of model code of conduct during the February 13 assembly byelection in Srirangam.
The app, Tamil Nadu Citizen Poll Watch- 2015, can be downloaded to android-powered devices.
“Anyone can download the app and upload the photos or videos of violation of model code of conduct.The complaint will reach the officials concerned, including district election officer and CEO. The flying squad will rush to the spot and check the violation,” state chief electoral officer (CEO) Sandeep Saxena said after launching the app here on Friday evening.
