Chennai: Left-arm spinner Mohan Prasath shone with 5 for 60 to help Jolly Rovers dismiss Alwarpet for 176 in the first innings on Day 2 of their TNCA first division clash here on Thursday. Jolly Rovers, who had scored 192 in the opening essay, got a slender lead of 16 runs. However, Jolly Rovers managed only 140 in their second innings as left-arm spinner MS Sanjay was the wrecker-in-chief with figures of 6 for 31.
Chasing 157, Alwarpet were in trouble at 65 for 6. Off-spinner B Aparajith led the bowling charts with 3 for 5 as Alwarpet need 91 more runs to cross the finish line.
