Spinners Jivesh, Shubham trouble TNCA Prez’s XI

Chennai: Left-arm spinner Jivesh Bhutte and leggie Shubham Agarwal combined to pick up nine wickets as Chhattisgarh earned a 62-run first-innings lead against TNCA President’s XI on the second day of the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament Group A match in Coimbatore on Monday.
Jivesh finished with a five-wicket haul while Shubham bagged a hat-trick to bundle TNCA President’s XI out for 208. At close of play, Chhattisgarh stood at 107 for three in their second essay, holding a 169-run lead. In the Group D match in Tirunelveli, TNCA XI secured the first-innings advantage, despite CAB XI left-arm spinner Vaibhav Yadav’s five-wicket haul.
In the Group C contest in Salem, Prasad Pawar put Mumbai on top against Jammu and Kashmir with an unbeaten hundred, which was laced with 16 fours and a six.

At Tirunelveli: Group D: CAB XI 193 & 186/7 in 55 overs (Shashank Singh 59, Toufik Uddin Mondal 52*, M Siddharth 3/66). TNCA XI 228 in 65.5 overs (Shahrukh Khan 52, Vaibhav Yadav 5/63, Amrit Raj Uppadhyay 3/38).
