Special officers appointed for formation of Chengalpet, Tenkasi districts

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government on Friday appointed special officers for the formation of Chengalpet and Tenkasi districts.
G K Arun Sundar Thayalan, additional director of Sugar, has been transferred and posted as the special officer for the formation of Chengalpet district while vice-chairman and chief executive officer of Tamil Nadu Maritime Board A John Louis was transferred and posted as special officer for the formation of Tenkasi district, according to a government order.
The two officers would assist the commissioner of revenue administration in connection with the work relating to bifurcation of Kancheepuram and Tirunelveli districts, respectively.
