SETC installs GPS for long route buses

Chennai: State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) has installed GPS kits in long-distance buses and has integrated the output feed with 'Chennai Bus' app, which provides details of forthcoming bus stops, estimated arrival or departure time, travel duration and live location of buses on preferred routes. At present, SETC is sending this information link for reserved passengers through text messages on a trial basis. The app was launched earlier this year to live track MTC buses in Chennai.
