School teacher arrested with ganja
CHENNAI: Police have arrested a school teacher for smuggling ganja in Dindigul on Tuesday. Police seized at least 220kg of ganja from his house. The school teacher, Srinivasan, 42, Kottaiyur Chinnaiyan Patti village, Natham near Dindigul had concealed ganja in a few gunny bags inside his fields behind his house. Srinivasan joined the government higher secondary school in Natham as a physical education teacher in 2011 through the teachers recruitment board (TRB). Srinivasan was involved in a ganja smuggling case in 2010 and police seized at least 30kg of ganja from his residence. As the TRB officials didn't verify his background with the local police, he managed to get the posting.Srinivasan has two wives, Sukumari and Vasuki. Sukumari has five ganja smuggling cases pending against her.
