Sasikala visits Madhusudhanan in Chennai hospital; EPS leaves immediately

CHENNAI: High drama was witnessed on Tuesday when V K Sasikala, the close confidante of late chief minister J Jayalalithaa, visited a Chennai hospital to visit AIADMK presidium chairman E Madhusudanan who is undergoing treatment in an intensive care unit there.

Former chief minister and AIADMK joint coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami and Chennai district secretaries were also in the hospital around the same time. They left immediately. “EPS was not there when Sasikala visited

Sasikala came in a car carrying the AIADMK flag and spent 15 minutes in the hospital.

She said Madhusudhanan was a member of Jayalalithaa’s cabinet. “He is an elder brother in our AIADMK, our family. I came here after coming to know of his ill health,” Sasikala said, adding that she prayed for his recovery and checked with his family about him. She visited Madhusudhanan in the ICU and inquired with the doctors treating him.
