, is coming to Chennai by road.

Sasikala’s earlier plan was to board a 4.15pm flight from Bengaluru. She changed the plan due to the delay in getting the formalities finished. She started her journey from Bengaluru in a car after 3pm.

Sasikala's nephew TTV Dhinakaran and his brother-in-law Dr Venkatesh were accompanying her, party sources said. They are expected to reach Chennai around 8pm.

Dhinakaran supporter and Perambur MLA P Vetrivel said Sasikala got two options on her arrival in Chennai. "She will either visit the Perumbakkam hospital first, where her husband is undergoing treatment after a dual organ transplant surgery or the residence of her relative J Krishnapriya in the city. The decision is hers.”

Krishnapriya is the daughter of J Ilavarasi who is lodged in the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in Bengaluru with Sasikala and Sasikala and Sasikala’s relative VN Sudhakaran. All of them are convicts in a disproportionate assets case involving late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa.
