Sankara Nethralaya walks for eye donation

Chennai: C U Shah Eye Bank of Sankara Nethralaya, organised activities across the city at various schools, hospitals, and large corporate houses to create awareness on the importance of eye donation and to sensitise the public on the need to pledge their eyes after death as a part of the ‘Eye Donation Fortnight’ observed nationwide between August 25 and September 8.
On Friday, an awareness rally was held at Elliots Beach. The “Sankara Nethralaya’s Walk for Vision 2023, which started at 7:30am was flagged off by Justice S Jagadeesan. Dr Vaneeta Agarwal, National Service Scheme Coordinator, University of Madras, also attended the rally. tnn
