CHENNAI: Collectors declared leave for

schools

in Chennai and

Kancheepuram

districts on Friday due to heavy rain lashing the area on Thursday evening.

Chennai got a total of 12cm rain after rain intensified on Thursday afternoon.

Holiday on Friday means that students of schools that do not function on Saturday will have a break of nearly a week as schools have been closed since Tuesday.

Ironically, the only day when it rained heavily during morning hours was on Monday - the only day when schools worked this week.

Tamilnadu is suffering today foremost because of its wrong choice of leaders, the dravidian parties have virtually drained the state of all its wealth and mismanaged it to the core, until and unless an alternate government is formed with a good leaderleader at the helm of affairs Tamilnadu is going to drift further and further down affairs people who revolt for jallikattu are mute when it comes to real matters of concern like proper storm water drainage all over the state, proper maintenance of lakes, ponds affairs did and river systems, water management, better infrastructure, evacuation of illegal residents and water body occupiers. People should wake the government up which is eating all its wealth without dining anything on ground.
