Puducherry schoolboy authors braille book on biographies of scientists
PUDUCHERRY: A 12-year-old boy in Puducherry has authored a braille book titled 'Imaginations that Changed the World' compiling the biographies of seven eminent scientists.
Ashwin Thomas, a Class VIII student in Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary School, said his effort was to encourage blind people to develop the habit of braille reading.
Petit Seminaire HSS principal Pascal Raj released the book on Monday. Akilandeshwari Srinivasan an assistant professor (English) at Bharathidasan Government College for Women who is blind, received the first copy.
