Puducherry hikes petrol, diesel prices

PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry govt has hiked the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per litre to rationalise the price difference between the Union territory of Puducherry and adjoining states.
The petrol price will be hiked from Rs 94.26 to Rs 96.26 and diesel price from Rs 84.48 to Rs 86.48.
The hike will come into force on Jan 1, according to a release.
Despite the hike, petrol and diesel prices in Puducherry will be less than in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
