Police said Chandran Sathosh, 18, a first-year student at a private college in Santhosapuram, visited Sri Raghavendra Medicals in Ramakrishnapuram on Wednesday, complaining of health issues. He was administered an injection, which allegedly led to his death on Friday evening. Police registered a case and are investigating the incident. They took custody of Sathosh's body and sent it for a post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, students and locals vandalised the medical shop, demanding action against the owner. The protesters said that the pharmacy was operating without proper authorisation and that the owner was negligent in administering the injection.

"We demand strict action against the medical shop owner," said one of the protesters. "This is not the first time that such an incident has occurred. The govt must take steps to regulate private medical shops and ensure that they follow proper protocols."
