The Madurai bench of the Madras high court on Friday ordered notice to Chinna Thirai Producers Association president Raadhika Sarathkumar, Chinna Thirai Actors Association president Nalini Ramarajan, South Indian Film Directors’ Association president Vikraman and others for allegedly threatening Tamil TV channels.

MADURAI: The Madurai bench of the Madras high court on Friday ordered notice to Chinna Thirai Producers Association president Raadhika Sarathkumar, Chinna Thirai Actors Association president Nalini Ramarajan, South Indian Film Directors’ Association president Vikraman and others for allegedly threatening Tamil TV channels.
Madurai-based advocate Karmegam filed a petition in the court contending that Raadhika and others unlawfully assembled with a number of their supporters in Chennai on April 15 to protest against the telecast of dubbed serials on Tamil TV channels.

They had threatened channels like Star Vijay, Raj, Polimer and Zee Tamil, the petitioner said.
A complaint had been lodged against the protesters with the director general of police and the home secretary, but no action had been taken, the petitioner said.
Hence he filed a petition in the court seeking a direction to the DGP to file an FIR based on a complaint against the protesters.
When the matter came up for admission, Justice M M Sundresh ordered notice to Raadhika and others.
