Powercut today in parts of Chennai due to maintenance work: Ambattur Industrial Estate, Ambattur Sidco to go 5 hours without current

Chennai: Power supply will be suspended for 5 hours on Sunday in parts of Ambattur and Sidco industrial clusters to facilitate routine maintenance work, from 9am to 2pm. Supply will be restored earlier if the maintenance works are completed ahead of schedule.In Ambattur Industrial Estate, the affected areas include New Tiny Sector, Post Office Road 2nd and 5th Streets, Ambit IT Park Road, and the south phase of 2nd Main Road.In Ambattur SIDCO, power will be shut down in Mariamman Koil Street, Kulakarai Street, Kannan Koil Street, Aavin Main Road, EB Road 1st to 4th Streets, North Phase 31A Road, North Phase 12th and 13th Streets, and Korattur Tiny Sector.Residents and commercial establishments in these localities were advised to plan their activities accordingly. Officials said the shutdown is part of periodic preventive maintenance aimed at improving supply reliability and network safety.
