CHENNAI: Vikas Anand, the accused in the Porsche car accident in Chennai that claimed the life of an autorickshaw driver and injured 10 others on Monday morning, approached the principal sessions court here on Wednesday seeking bail.
Police said Vikas (22), a professional car racer and a resident of T Nagar, and his friend Charan Kumar were returning after attending a party thrown by Tuti Patriot, who won the Tamil Nadu Premier League final held at Chepauk on Sunday night when the accident happened on the R K Salai.

Bothe of them were said to be drunk. The car rammed the median and ploughed through autorickshaws parked on the roadside.
City public prosecutor M L Jegan appeared before judge G Jaychandran and sought adjournment of the matter till September 29 for filing a detailed counter.
Counsel for the accused B Kumar requested the case to be posted on Thursday.
After hearing arguments from the prosecution and defence, the judge posted it to September 23.
