PMK announces its candidates in three Tamil Nadu assembly constituencies

Pattali Makkal Katchi on Monday announced its candidates for the November 19 polls in Thanjavur and Aravakkurichi assembly constituencies and the bypoll in Thirupparankundram constituency.

CHENNAI: Pattali Makkal Katchi on Monday announced its candidates for the November 19 polls in Thanjavur and Aravakkurichi assembly constituencies and the bypoll in Thirupparankundram constituency.
In a release, PMK president G K Mani said that its deputy general secretary P M K Baskaran and G Kunjithapatham would contest in Aravakkurichi and Thanjavur respectively.

D Selvam, also PMK's deputy general secretary, would be the party’s candidate in Thirupparankundram, the release said.
The release added that the names of candidates were approved by party founder S Ramadoss and youth wing chief Anbumani Ramadoss.
The Election Commission cancelled the elections for Aravakurichi and Thanjavur assembly constituencies ahead of the May 16 assembly election following seizure of large sums of money.
The Thirupparankundram constituency will go to poll due to the death S M Seenivel who died soon after winning the election.
Ruling AIADMK and the DMK have announced their candidates for the poll.
