P Shankar is higher education secretary; Nine districts get new collectors

Chennai: The state govt on Monday reshuffled the top bureaucracy, naming P Shankar as higher education secretary in place of C Samayamoorthy, and transferring nine district collectors, seven municipal commissioners and several department heads. In all, the govt transferred 55 IAS officers.An order issued by chief secretary N Muruganandam said S Arunraj is now collector of Perambalur, Manish Shankarrao Narnaware of Tirupur, V Saravanan of Trichy, D Sneha of Chengalpet, K J Praveen Kumar of Madurai, N O Sukhaputra of Virudhunagar, S Kandasamy of Erode, Durga Moorthi of Namakkal, and K Porkodi of Sivaganga.M P Amit will be commissioner of Tirupur municipal corporation, Monika Rana of Tirunelveli, V Madhubalan ofn Trichy, Mrugender Lal Banoth of Tuticorin, R Saranya of Avadi, Nishant Krishna of Hosur, and Arpit Jain of Erode.C Samayamoorthy has been posted as human resources management secretary. Shilpa Prabhakar Satish will be commercial taxes and registration secretary and M Vallalar social reforms secretary. Rajendra Ratnoo will be member-secretary of both Chennai River Restoration Trust and Chennai River Transformation Company Limited. G Prakash will replace S Prabakar as member-secretary of CMDA. Prabakar has been moved to the Tamil Nadu irrigated agriculture modernization project.Additional chief secretary S Vijayakumar has been appointed commissioner of land reforms. S Nagarajan currently secretary (expenditure) be commissioner of commercial taxes after D Jagannathan retires at the end of the month. Several corporations have got new managing directors. R V Shajeevana will be MD of Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women, Shreya B Singh of Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board, S Sivarasu of Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Financial Services Limited, and J Vijayarani of Tamil Nadu Warehousing Corporation. T Christuraj has been appointed director of tourism and managing director of the Tourism Development Corporation.P Madhusudhan Reddy, M S Sangeetha, M Pradeep Kumar, and Raja Gopal Sunkara have been appointed directors of municipal administration, social welfare, town panchayats, and survey and settlement departments respectively.
