The story features Princess Lenore of Lenoress Town who wants the

moon

, and falls sick. It also has doting

kings

,

jesters

and prime ministers, and goofy royal magicians and mathematicians. Adding to this comedy of errors is an Indian astrologer and a bunch of travelling Bollywood shooting stars.

With this play, the theatre group, which is into its 25th year, is planning to offer regular performances for

children

and tweens under its initiative, The Bear and Beanbag Children’s Theater Project.

"At a time when family-inclusive performances and performances for children are much needed to maintain a sense of social space, we feel this is the right time to reinvigorate the atmosphere. A few more fun shows are lined up for kids in the course of our season," say members of Masquerade.

“Total Moonsense” has been directed by Shrivatz Agharam, scripted by Krishna Kumar, and stars Abhishek Ramabhadran, Aravind Subramanian, Ashvi KS, Krishna Kumar S, Pranav Diwakar, Priyanka Sankaran, Shrivatz Agharam, Shubh Mukherjee, Utshav Raj and Varsha Varadarajan.

It will be performed at CurioPlay, Alwarpet, at 5pm and 7pm on May 25.
