NLCIL bags GeM ‘Timely payments’ award for 2023

Chennai: NLC India Limited has bagged the ‘Timely payments (CPSEs)’ award for the year 2023 for its contribution in improving the reliability of e-market practices, said a release.
The Union government has been awarding companies that effectively utilise the dedicated e-market platform, ‘Government e-Marketplace (GeM)’, a national public procurement portal for selling and buying of different goods and services.
The company, which commenced GeM procurement of Rs 2.21 crore in 2018-19, registered an exponential growth of Rs 984.93 crore in 2022-23. NLCIL director (planning and projects) received the award on behalf of the company.
The award was presented to the chairman cum managing director Prasanna Kumar Mottupalli in the presence of senior officials of the company.
