Indoor badminton court opened in North Chennai

Chennai: HR&CE minister, P K Sekarbabu, inaugurated a new indoor badminton court and a multipurpose building on Saturday in ward 74 of the Thiru Vi Ka Nagar zone in Jamalia.

The indoor badminton court on 5th street of New Valaima Nagar was built with an outlay of 93.25 lakh from the mayor development fund.

Additionally, a multipurpose building built in Ekangipuram near Jamalia at a cost of 40 lakh from the ward development fund of the councillor of ward 74 (the city mayor is ward 74 councillor), was inaugurated. It includes a newly established children's centre.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the mayor Priya R, Thiru Vi Ka Nagar MLA Thayagam Kavi, regional deputy commissioner K J Praveen Kumar, along with zonal chairperson Saritha Maheshkumar and other officials.
