Musician, scientist honoured

Chennai: Sathyabama University honoured music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja with a honorary doctorate, at its 31st convocation on Saturday.On the occasion, when more than 2,000 students graduated, the university also honoured V Balaguru, scientist, association director and projector director, DRDO. According to a statement from the university, 2,258 students received undergraduate degrees, 409 received PG degrees, and 153 finished doctorate. Among them, 23 students were awarded with gold medals for their exemplary performance. tnn
