Chennai: The Madhya Pradesh left-arm pace duo fired in unison to help their team take a crucial 169-run first-innings lead against Delhi on the third day of the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament final in Coimbatore on Sunday.
Ramveer Gurjar stood out with four wickets and Kulwant Khejroliya bagged three while right-arm pacer Aryan Deshmukh scalped two as MP bundled Delhi out for 201.
All-rounder Shivank Vashisht waged a lone battle for Delhi.
Beginning on his overnight score of 44, No. 3 Shivank was the last batter to fall in Delhi’s first innings and finished as the team’s top-scorer with 83 (240 balls, 6x4, 1x6). Shivank later picked up four wickets with his left-arm spin as Delhi restricted MP to 129 for six in their second essay. At stumps, MP held a 298-run overall lead.
