Motorcycle rams truck, doctor dies, one injured in Chennai

CHENNAI: One doctor died, and another suffered severe injuries on Thursday night when their motorcycle rammed a truck parked on the roadside at Puzhal.
Police identified the deceased as G Nishanth of Trichy and the injured as P Preethi, 25, of Dharmapuri, both doctors at ESI hospital in K K Nagar.
The tragic accident took place when they were returning from Gummidipoondi.Nishanth was riding the two-wheeler. They were rushed to Stanley Government Hospital, where Nishanth was declared dead. Police said Nishanth was wearing a helmet.
The Red Hills traffic investigation police registered a case.
