Missing woman found dead in well

A 23-year-old woman who went missing from her house last Tuesday was found dead in a well close to her house at Periyakuppam near Tiruvallur.

CHENNAI: A 23-year-old woman who went missing from her house last Tuesday was found dead in a well close to her house at Periyakuppam near Tiruvallur. Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services (TNFRS) sleuths fished out the decomposed body of the woman, Yamuna, 23, of Suvalpet near Arakkonam.
Yamuna's husband Saravanan, 28, is an employee of the Chennai Corporation.

Police said Yamuna went to her parent's house last Monday and she disappeared from the house on Tuesday. Yamuna's family members searched for her and later lodged a woman missing complaint at the Manavala Nagar police station. As her body was recovered from a well, police have altered a case into that of unnatural death under Section 174 of Criminal Procedure Code.
