Miscreants try to loot ATM near Tiruvannamalai

TIRUVANNAMALAI:

Miscreants

attempted to loot an unmanned SBI ATM at Nallavanpalayam near Tiruvannamalai in the early hours of Wednesday.

The miscreants barged into the

ATM

room and hurled cow dung on the CCTV camera.

They damaged the ATM's top portion, including its screen. However, their efforts to open the cash chest failed. They fled without taking any cash when they saw a vehicle coming.

Taluk police station sub-inspector Sivashankar, said, “It is suspected that some

drunk men

were involved in the looting attempt.”
