Midnight Carnatic music concert on Wednesday night

CHENNAI: On Wednesday, leading Carnatic musicians will play through the night on at the Music Academy and usher in the New Year. Violinist T N Krishnan, flautist N Ramani, vocalists Sowmya, Vijay Siva, Gayathri Girish, Gayathri Venkatraghavan, M Balamurali Krishna, Carnatica Brothers, Sriram Parasuram , Subiksha Rangarajan and Saindhavi are among those who will perform from 10 pm until 1.30 am.Eclectic combinations and humorous yet challenging sessions are on the cards, in the run-up to the new year. As the clock strikes the midnight hour, the artistes will chant the primordial Om' in unison.
