MDMA tablets, ganja seized in Chennai

CHENNAI: Air customs sleuths have seized 32

MDMA

(Methylenedioxymethamphetamine)

tablets

and 419 grams of

ganja

worth Rs 1.61 lakh from postal parcels that arrived at the foreign post office at Chennai airport.

They recovered 32 MDMA tablets from two parcels that were sent from

the Netherlands

and addressed to persons in Vijayawada and Hyderabad.

In another case, dried lumps of ganja were found concealed in books after a parcel was intercepted and opened following a tip-off.
