CHENNAI: Police arrested a 44-year-old man on Sunday for killing his wife following an altercation Anakaputhur,
Vinayagam
on Saturday.

Shankar Nagar police who were investigating the murder found that Vinayagam would often pick up fights with his wife Prema by questioning her character.
A resident of Anakaputhur, Vinayagam lived with his wife and two daughters.
He worked as a tailor and a caterer while Prema works as a domestic help.
On Saturday evening, Vinayagam hit Prema with an iron rod after they got into an altercation.
Prema who was bleeding from the attack died on the way to the hospital.
Police nabbed Vinayagam on Sunday at
Irandam Kattalai
which is a few kilometres away from his residence at Anakaputhur.
They also recovered the iron rod which was used in the attack. Vinayagam was later produced in a court and sent to jail.
