Man, 36, fatally electrocuted in his bathroom at Tamil Nadu's Pammal

CHENNAI: A 36-year-old air-conditioner mechanic was electrocuted in Pammal on Friday morning. Naresh Kumar, had a six-month-old baby.

Naresh Kumar, a resident of Thiruvalluvar Street in Pammal, was alone at home as his wife and child had gone to Chengalpet. As he had the day to himself, he decided to meet his friends. Naresh went to the bathroom to heat water for his bath using an electric heater.

At the same time, he was on call with his friends. He did not turn the heater off and tested how hot the water was by dipping his hand into the bucket. He suffered an electric shock and died on the spot.

Later, when Naresh did not respond to phone calls, his friends forced open the door and found him lying on the bathroom floor. Police investigations are on.
