Kidnapped girl rescued, man arrested

CHENNAI: The city police on Wednesday rescued a 17-year-old girl from a house in Trichy and apprehended 52-year-old Mohammad Meeran for kidnapping the girl from ICF on Tuesday.
The girl worked as a help at Meeran's house, as his 42-year-old wife Noorjahan is suffering from paralytic attack.
The girl's father Shajahan, 38, found his daughter missing and lodged a missing complaint at the ICF police station.Police personnel traced Meeran to Trichy, rushed to the place and rescued the girl, who was handed over to her family members.
The police registered a case against Meeran for kidnapping a minor girl. TNN
