Khushbu to run for prez in Tamil Nadu film producer's council election

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Congress spokeswoman Khushbu will contest the upcoming Tamil Film Producers' Council (TFPC) elections for the post of president. With the current president 'Kalaipuli' Thanu's term coming to an end, elections are to be held on February 5.

, hold key positions. Thanu had won the elections held in January 2015, garnering 556 out of 770 votes. South India Artistes' Association general secretary Vishal, who has recently been at odds with Thanu, has compiled the list of candidates for TFPC elections. Vishal said the candidates for other posts such as vice-president and treasurer will be announced soon.
