A 10-year-old boy from Kazaksthan who is waiting in Chennai's Fortis Malar hospital is the recipient of a Keralite boy heart-luing which will be transferred to Chennai post noon.

CHENNAI: A 10-year-old boy from Kazaksthan who is waiting in Chennai's Fortis Malar hospital is the recipient of a Keralite boy heart-luing which will be transferred to Chennai post noon.
Doctors from Fortis Malar hospital will harvest the organs of 12-year-old Adith Paulson at Aster Medcity around 2pm. The boy was declared brain dead in the early hours on Tuesday.

The transfer is the second one in the last one week to the same hospital in Chennai.
The transfer follows the child organ alert that went out to all hospitals in Kerala and Tamil Nadu through the Kerala network of organ sharing (KNOS) and Tamil Nadu network of organ sharing (TNOS). However, there were no Indians in the waiting list and the 10-year-old boy from Kazaksthan will get the new heart-lung.
Adith Paulson, whose family hails from Thrissur was brought in to Aster Medcity in Kochi from a Thrissur hospital on August 15 following an accident. He and his father were seriously injured when their car hit a school bus in Kumbidi in Thrissur district. His father is still at the Thrissur Jubilee Mission hospital where they were admitted first.
His liver is being given to recipients at Lakeshore hospital while cornea goes to Little Flower hospital eye bank.
