Jayalalithaa death: Justice Arumughaswamy Commission summons UK doctor Richard Beale

CHENNAI: The Justice A Arumughaswamy Commission probing the circumstances leading to the death of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa has summoned London-based intensivist Dr Richard Beale to appear before it on January 9, sources have said.
The doctor will appear before the panel through video-conferencing.
Dr Beale gave critical medical advice to Apollo Hospitals during Jayalalithaa's treatment and visited her twice before her death on December 5, 2016.
The commission, which is on a break due to the Christmas and new year holidays, will resume its proceedings on January 2.
