Jail warden booked for supplying ganja

Chennai: Police registered a case on Saturday against a jail warden at Puzhal central prison for supplying ganja to a prisoner. Two prisoners were also booked in the case. A source said that the jail warden will be placed under suspension.According to police, the warden, Duraiarasan, got the ganja from Sukumar, a prisoner, and gave it to another prisoner, Vijay. Sukumar supplied ganja to Lazar, another prisoner too. Prison officials conducted a check and recovered 40g of ganja from Lazar.Based on a complaint, police booked Duraiarasan, Lazar, and Sukumar. Duraiarasan is on the run. A search is on.
