Ivory artefacts worth Rs 20 lakh seized in Tamil Nadu, 12 arrested
CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Wildlife Crime Control Bureau’s intelligence team seized five ivory artefacts worth Rs 20 lakh and arrested 12 people in this connection in Villupuram on Thursday, minister K Ponmudy said.
The team also seized a car, two motorcycles and a moped from them.
The team produced all the arrested people before a local magistrate who remanded them in judicial custody.
