The Chennai Police Department has undergone a shuffle of officers, with DGP Karunasagar being posted as DGP Welfare on his return from Central Deputations, and Hailesh Kumar Yadav being appointed as AdGP Idol Wing. Cid M Manohar Dig, Joint Commissioner Law Order, Chennai West, and Anna Nagar G Vanitha, Deputy Commissioner (Crime Against Women and Children), have also been deputed. Radhakrishnan, Deputy Commissioner (HQ), Salem, has been posted as DC Headquarters. Seven Asps have been posted as SPs, while two of them have been posted as DCPs. Rajat Chaturvedi, who has been given charge as DC Mylapore, and Ak Arun Kabilan, who has been posted as DC T Nagar, have been promoted and posted as SPs. Shreya Gupta, who has been promoted and posted as SP Crime Branch, and Abhishek Gupta, who has been promoted and posted as DC North Tiruppur City, are also new officers. Gautam Goyal, who is now DC HQ Madurai, has been promoted.
